Naturals washed out in Springfield

pringfield, MO - Tuesday night's road contest between the Springfield Cardinals and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Hammons Field has been postponed due to continuous rain showers with even more expected throughout the evening.

Tuesday's game will be made up as part of a double-header on Wednesday, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 12:10pm. There will be a 30-minute intermission between the two games. Both games will be broadcast on KURM 790 AM and online at www.nwanaturals.com.

Right-hander Blake Wood is scheduled to throw for the Naturals in game one against right-hander Brandon Dickson for Springfield, and right-hander Matt Kniginyzky will get the start for game two. It will be the second consecutive twinbill the Naturals (11-12) will have played after playing two against the Arkansas Travelers on Monday night at Arvest Ballpark.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale.
