-SPIKES AND CYCLONES FACE OFF IN GAME TWO: The State College Spikes continue their homestand as they face the Brooklyn Cyclones in the middle game of a three-game series tonight at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Brooklyn is led by manager Rich Donnelly and pitching coach Frank Viola, both familiar faces in the baseball world. Brooklyn leads the all-time series between the two teams, 12-4, and has taken 6 of 7 meetings in State College.

-LAST GAME: Matt Skirving homered for the first time as a State College Spikes player, sending a two-run shot to right-center field in the fourth inning, but a five-run seventh brought the Brooklyn Cyclones an 8-4 victory on Saturday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The Spikes also grabbed the initial lead in the game when Alex Dickerson singled up the middle to plate Taylor Lewis in the first inning. Brooklyn responded with a pair of runs off of State College starter Ryan Hafner, both of which were unearned. Alex Fuselier had the first three-hit game of his career out of the leadoff slot.

-DODSON GETS ANOTHER REHAB START: Southpaw Zack Dodson makes the third start of his rehab assignment from Single-A West Virginia tonight for State College. Dodson took the loss last time out after allowing five runs over four innings, with only two of the runs earned, on four hits, two walks and three hit batsmen against Mahoning Valley on Tuesday. The left-hander was 2-3 with a 3.12 ERA in seven starts at West Virginia earlier this year.

-CYCLONES SEND ALDAMA TO MOUND: Right-hander Eduardo Aldama gets the start for Brooklyn tonight. The 21-year-old from Valencia, Venezuela has made seven starts this season for the Cyclones after splitting his time between Rookie-level Kingsport and the Gulf Coast League Mets in 2010. This year marks Aldama's fourth as a professional in the U.S., and his fifth season as a member of the Mets organization.
