-SPIKES AND SCRAPPERS MEET AGAIN TONIHGT: The State College Spikes continue the second half of their road trip tonight with the secon game of a three-game series with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers tonight at Eastwood Field. State College and Mahoning Valley will be well acquainted with one another, as the two teams meet for six straight contests this week, three in Ohio and three in Pennsylvania. The Spikes are 24-27 all-time against the Scrappers, with a 10-16 mark all-time at Eastwood Field.

-LAST GAME: The Spikes allowed the Mahoning Valley Scrappers six runs in the first inning, and could get no closer as they fell, 8-1, on Sunday evening at Eastwood Field. All six runs in the first were charged to left-hander Mike Jefferson, who made his pro debut in the game. Vince Payne retired the last ten batters he faced over 4 1/3 innings, the longest relief outing for any Spikes pitcher this year. Taylor Lewis knocked in the Spikes' only run in the third inning as part of a 2-for-4 night, and was the only State College player with multiple hits.

-KINGHAM TAKES THE HILL FOR SPIKES: Right-hander Nick Kingham will look to keep his momentum going on the mound tonight as he gets his third start of the season. State College's Opening Day starter struck out eight batters this past Wednesday over five innings, missing the Spike's single-game record by just one.

-SCRAPPERS TO START COLON: Right-hander Joseph Colon gets the ball for Mahoning Valley tonight. Colon is making his third start, and pitched five shutout, one-hit innings against Batavia in his last outing. The Puerto Rican was a 12th-round draft pick in 2009 for Cleveland.

-SINGH BACK WITH SPIKES: Indian southpaw Rinku Singh made his return to the Spikes today after being promoted from the GCL. Singh made one appearance for the club in 2010.
