-LAST GAME: Chris Lashmet produced a pair of hits and two runs batted in for the State College Spikes, but the Mahoning Valley Scrappers collected a total of 20 base hits and match the most runs scored by a Spikes opponent in a 17-4 win on Thursday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Lashmet delivered the best offensive effort for State College on the night, contributing a two-run double to put the Spikes on the scoreboard in the third inning. However, Mahoning Valley produced bursts of five runs in the third inning and seven runs in the fifth to compile most of its runs on the night.
-ALLIE GETS SIXTH PRO START: Right-hander Stetson Allie makes his sixth professional start and seventh overall apperance tonight for State College. Allie pitched three scoreless innings against Williamsport last time out, allowing just one hit and one walk. The Olmsted Falls, OH native went four one-run frames in his last outing against the Scrappers, retiring high school teammate Alex Lavisky twice.
-RADEKE GETS START FOR SCRAPPERS: The Spikes will face a familiar foe on the mound to begin the game as right-hander Mason Radeke makes his third start of the season for Mahoning Valley against State College. Radeke has gone at least five innings in every outing this season after the Indians drafted him in the 35th round out of Cal Poly in the 2011 draft. The Santa Barbara, CA native has allowed four runs to the Spikes over the last 10 2/3 innings.
