Hagerstown Suns News Release
HAGERSTOWN, MD -- The Hagerstown Suns will have their full range of exciting midweek promotions on display at Municipal Stadium this week -- spanning from Feed Your Face Monday to Thirsty Thursday -- as they host the Rome Braves for a four-game series to kickstart an eight-game homestand.
The series gets underway Monday at 7:05 p.m., and marks the only trip to Municipal Stadium of 2009 for Rome -- an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
Throughout the series -- and for the remainder of their 2009 home schedule -- the Suns will partner with Coca-Cola to give fans the opportunity to take part in a nightly game-used Suns jersey raffle for just $1.00 with the purchase of a bottled Coca-Cola product. Participating fans will receive a raffle ticket along with their drink, and the raffle will run through the seventh inning each night at concession stands throughout the stadium. Shortly thereafter, that night's winning raffle number will be announced, and a lucky fan will go home with a retro Suns jersey of his or her choice.
The series-opener will be a Feed Your Face Monday, courtesy of WAYZ 104.7 fm. Admission to the game will be $10 for General Admission seats and $13 for VIP seats, and fans will receive unlimited servings of select food items throughout the game as part of the price of the ticket.
Another 7:05 p.m. start is up next for Bingo Tuesday, sponsored by Equipped for Life. Bingo cards will be distributed to fans as they enter the gates, with the squares on each card corresponding to plays that may transpire on the field during the game. Fans completing a "Bingo" will be eligible for great prizes at the Suns' Fan Services center in the Hagerstown Trust Plaza. It will also be Senior Tuesday, and all fans ages 60 and over will get into the game for just $2.
Thanks to the Kraft Singles Tuesday Ticket Offer, reduced admission will be available to all Suns fans for Tuesday's game. Any Suns fan bringing a Kraft Singles wrapper to the ticket window will receive a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer.
Select concession items will be selling throughout Municipal Stadium for just $1.00 apiece during Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. Dollar Day game. Wednesday is also Ladies Night, so all ladies will enjoy $5.00 admission into the ballpark, courtesy of Hagerstown Magazine, and be eligible to compete for great prizes through a ladies-only raffle.
The series against the Braves will wrap up with a 7:05 p.m. Thirsty Thursday, which will also be the first Merchant Night of 2009 for the Suns, presented by NBC 25. The Thirsty Thursday promotion means that 12 oz. domestic drafts will sell for just $1.25 each in the Cancun Cantina Beer Garden, courtesy of Rock 101.5 fm.
A collection of local businesses will be stationed at informational booths throughout the concourse for Merchant Night on Thursday, sharing more about the services they provide with fans before and during the game.
The Hagerstown Suns play at Municipal Stadium in Hagerstown, MD and are a Class "A" affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Visit the Suns on the web at www.hagerstownsuns.com. The Suns are owned by Los Angeles based Mandalay Baseball Properties.
