
Stars Take Down Legends 134-128

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, defeated the Texas Legends 134-128 in an explosive victory at Comerica Center this evening to kick off their three-game road trip.
Salt Lake City was led by guard Frank Jackson, who made his return after a 10-Day contract with the Utah Jazz, as he finished with a season-high 45 points on 16-of-23 (.696) from the floor and 7-of-12 (.583) from long distance. This is the most points scored by a Stars player all season. Five additional players passed the double-digit threshold. Utah Jazz two-way Micah Potter tallied 19 points, along with six rebounds. While center Tyler Cook filled the box score with 16 points, six rebounds, and eight assists. Off the bench, Eli Cain contributed 16 points, Christian Vital added 11 points alongside eight rebounds, and Isaiah Miller netted 10 points with five assists.
The Legends were paced by Justin Jackson, who finished with an impressive 36 points and seven rebounds. Texas guard McKinley Wright IV notched a double-double on the night with 20 points and 12 assists. Lacey James led all reserves with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Salt Lake City came out fighting as there were five ties in the first quarter before Texas ended the period with a two-point edge (33-31). The Legends continued to expand their lead to eight points in the final seconds of the second quarter (66-58). After the break, Salt Lake City responded with an 8-0 run to kick off the second half and get back in the game. Jackson came out hot in the third, securing 17 points to push the Stars back on top as they headed into the final frame 97-95. The battle raged on as the last shot at victory saw six-ties and two lead changes. Jackson tacked on another 12 points, and with the help of Cain off the bench, Salt Lake City grabbed their fifteenth win of the regular season 134-128 in Frisco.
The Stars will continue on their road-trip as they head to Oklahoma City, where they will face the OKC Blue back-to-back on Wednesday, March 8 at 10 a.m. (MT), and again Friday, March 10 at 6 p.m. (MT). The games will be broadcast on NBAGLEAGUE.com.
