FRISCO, TX - Frank Jackson had a career night to lead the Salt Lake City Stars (15-10) past Justin Jackson and the Texas Legends (6-17) 134-128 Monday night in Frisco.
The Jackson party opened fire in the first quarter as Texas' Justin Jackson sank 4-of-5 outside for 16 and Stars' Frank Jackson hit 5-of-7 for 12. Texas controlled the first, but Salt Lake City took over early in the second. Justin Jackson finished the half with 28 and the Legends finished on a 14-6 run to take an 8-point advantage into the break.
Frank Jackson erupted for 17 in the third to erase the Legends' lead. The two stayed close through the fourth but after McKinley Wright tied it up for Texas at the three-minute mark, the Stars hit a 7-0 run that would lead them to the finish line.
Justin Jackson had a season-high 36 points and 7 rebounds while McKinley Wright IV finished with the game's only double-double of 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 12 assists. Lacey James made a splash in his Legends debut with 20 points, 9 rebounds off the bench, while fellow newcomer Kalob Ledoux added 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Grant Riller rounded out the double digits with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Frank Jackson had a career high 45 points for the Stars, while Micah Potter added 19 points, 6 rebounds. Tyler Cook had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Elijah Cain tagged on another 16 points with 3 rebounds.
