Stars Fall to Hot Shooting Kings

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Salt Lake City Stars fell to the Stockton Kings 140-110 on Monday night at Stockton Arena.

The Stars were led by Utah Jazz two-way player Justin Wright-Foreman, who collected his 13th 20-point game of the season with 22 points on 7-of-11 (.636) from the floor. Willie Reed tallied 14 points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench, while Miye Oni, currently on assignment from the Jazz, and Kyle Collinsworth added 14 points apiece for the Stars.

The Kings finished with two 30-point scorers, led by Sacramento Kings two-way player DaQuan Jeffries, who posted 33 points on 11-of-14 (.786) from the field and 7-of-10 (.700) from beyond the arc to go with eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Fellow Kings two-way player Kyle Guy added 30 points, knocking down 6-of-9 (.667) from long distance, while Robert Franks tallied a 20/10 game with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Stockton shot 58 percent from the field and hit 23-of-42 (.548) three-pointers on the night. Jeffries (17 points), Franks (17 points) and Guy (10 points) combined for 44 points in the first half and gave the Kings a seven-point advantage (60-53) at intermission. Stockton expanded its lead through the second half to nab the 30-point victory.

Salt Lake City will return to Stockton Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for a rematch against the Kings. The game, which tips off at 11 a.m. (MT) will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
