DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Stars fell for the second time this exhibition season, losing to the Peoria Rivermen, 6-3 in Illinois on Friday night. Forward Jamie Johnson paced the Stars with three points, all assists. Goaltender Dan Ellis faced 32 shots in the loss. The Stars host the Omaha Knights on Sunday for their final tune-up before the regular season begins on October 6th. Sunday's game will have a 5:05 PM start time.
REGULAR SEASON OPENING WEEKEND: The Iowa Stars begin their inaugural season on October 6th and 8th at Wells Fargo Arena against the Peoria Rivermen and Omaha Knights, respectively. Both games will have a 7:05 PM start time. Tickets to all games can be obtained by calling 515-23-STARS.
