Peoria Rivermen News Release
Peoria, IL (September 30, 2005) - Ticket Sales Manager Wendy Mitchell of the Peoria Rivermen, proud new primary affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, announced today that the team has partnered with MidAmerica National Bank to offer an exclusive Peoria Rivermen checking account. The agreement marks the first time in several seasons that the Rivermen have entered into such an exclusive partnership with a banking institution.
"We are excited to reach out to Rivermen fans with this special checking account," said Andy Herrera, president of MidAmerica National Bank-Peoria. "It is another way for us to show our continued support of the Peoria Rivermen Hockey Club and the central Illinois community."
Said Mitchell of the Rivermen, "Our organization is grateful for the support of corporate partners such as MidAmerica National Bank, and we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with MidAmerica. We are especially excited to partner with MidAmerica to offer our fans the unique option of a Rivermen-branded checking account."
MidAmerica will begin accepting applications for Rivermen Checking accounts during the Rivermen home game versus the Manitoba Moose on Saturday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Carver Arena. Representatives from MidAmerica will be available throughout that game on the Carver Arena concourse to help Rivermen fans open an account. After the Rivermen game on October 8, fans can open a Rivermen Checking account anytime by visiting any MidAmerica location.
Each Rivermen Checking account will include a Rivermen Debit Card that features a full-color Rivermen action photo on the front, as well as the option to order checks emblazoned with the Rivermen logo. All fans will receive a free gift for opening a Rivermen Checking account, and those who enroll before November 1, 2005, will be entered into a drawing to win a ceremonial puck drop at a future Rivermen home game.
