Montgomery Biscuits News Release

MONTGOMERY, AL - The Huntsville Stars (65-69) excelled in the clutch, scoring all of their runs on the night with two down to snap a five-game Biscuits (70-63) win-streak, 10-4, Wednesday at Riverwalk.

Josh Satow (1-4) had retired the first two batters of the second inning before the Stars reeled off five straight hits, getting runs on doubles Anderson De La Rosa, Brett Lawrie, and Caleb Gindl to go up 4-0.

After a two-out error in the fifth made it 5-0, the Biscuits got on the board on a Shawn O'Malley single in the bottom half to make it 5-1.

But the Stars would again go off down to their last out in the sixth inning, this time against Rayner Oliveros and Justin Dowdy. After Oliveros had retired the first two, De La Rosa, Lawrie, and Gindl again delivered RBI hits to chase Oliveros. Dowdy then served up back-to-back homers to Zelous Wheeler and Chris Nowak to make it 10-1.

Jose Ruiz doubled to score a run in the eighth, and Rashad Eldridge drove home two with a ninth inning double to complete the scoring.

Satow lasted only three innings, allowing four runs on six hits while fanning four. Huntsville starter Mark Rogers (6-8) used a high-90s fastball to record eight strikeouts in his six innings of work.

Eldridge paced the Biscuits offense with a 3-5 night.

RHP Paul Phillips will make the start in the final homer game of the season on Thursday at 7:05 against Huntsville RHP Amaury Rivas.
