Limonta Named to the Southern League Postseason All-Star Team

JACKSON, TENN. (September 1, 2010) - The Southern League announced on Wednesday morning the 2010 Southern League Postseason All-Star team. Only one Jaxx player, first baseman Johan Limonta was named to the All-Star team. The team was voted upon by the league's field managers, radio broadcasters and print media.

Limonta, 27, has had a breakout season in 2010 for the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. Limonta ranks 12th in the Southern League with a .299 batting average, is fourth in the league in RBI's and is third in total bases with 225. Limonta is also tied for the league lead with 39 doubles and fifth in slugging at .481. Johan is a native of Miami, FL and was the Mariners 20th round selection in the 2004 draft. Limonta was the starting first baseman on the Southern League Mid-Season Southern League All-Star team.
