
Star Wars Night Headlines Eight-Game Homestand

DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP for a season-long eight-game homestand on May 3, as Star Wars Night, a pair of $1 Concessions nights and Kids Run the Bases highlight the promotional schedule.
The defending league champions open a four-game series against the Toledo Mud Hens on Thursday, May 3 at 7:05 p.m. The evening's contest, presented by Groupon, is the season's first $1 Concessions night, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, Pepsi products and popcorn are just a buck all night long.
The Bulls and Mud Hens battle once again on Friday, May 4 at 7:05 p.m. as the Bulls host their annual Star Wars Night, presented by Duke Children's Hospital. For the first time in team history Bulls players will don Darth Vader-inspired uniforms for the contest, and all jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting Duke Children's Hospital. The DBAP will be visited by costumed characters from a galaxy far, far away, with Darth Vader, Princess Leia and others scheduled to be in attendance.
Additionally a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux will follow the game, and local food trucks Bull City Street Food and Baguettaboutit will serve fans all evening long.
The series between the Bulls and the Detroit Tigers' Triple-A affiliate continues on Saturday, May 5 with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. The evening's game is presented by Get Spiffy. The two teams then close their four-game set at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature's Twist following the action.
On Monday, May 7 the Bulls kick off a four-game series against the Norfolk Tides at 7:05 p.m. The teams battle again at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, as the Bulls host their second Education Day of the season, presented by BASF.
Durham squares off against the Baltimore Orioles' top affiliate at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, presented by Northwestern Mutual. The homestand comes to a close on Thursday, May 10 at 7:05 p.m. with another $1 Concessions promotion.
