Frazier Joins SWB on Rehab Assignment

MOOSIC, PA. - The New York Yankees transferred Clint Frazier's rehab assignment to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The outfielder was placed on the Yankees 7-Day Disabled List with a concussion on March 29, retroactive to March 26. Frazier began his rehab assignment with the Tampa Tarpons in the Florida State League and appeared in four games.

New York acquired Frazier from the Cleveland Indians on July 31, 2016, along with prospects Justus Sheffield, Ben Heller and current RailRider J.P. Feyereisen for pitcher Andrew Miller.

Frazier appeared in 25 games for the RailRiders in 2016 after the trade, hitting .228 with three home runs and seven runs batted in. Over 74 games last season, the outfielder batted .256 with 19 doubles, 12 home runs and 42 runs batted in. He was recalled to the Yankees and made his Major League debut on July 1. In 39 games for New York, Frazier hit .231 with four home runs and 17 runs batted in.
