WHO: Stanley Cup and Mike Bolt of the Hockey Hall of Fame and Official Cup Keeper

WHAT: The Stanley Cup will be on public display and the public is invited to bring a camera and take a picture of hockey's holy grail, as well as make a voluntary donation to Hockey Fights Cancer.

WHEN: Friday, March 14 - Noon-1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Bank of America Centre (Home of the Idaho Steelheads), 233 S Capitol Boulevard

BACKGROUND INFO: The Stanley Cup's rich tradition of traveling across the country and sharing its experiences with National Hockey League fans will continue when the Stanley Cup arrives in Boise. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Stanley Cup has toured to raise awareness for Hockey Fights Cancer, the joint charitable initiative between the NHL and NHL Players' Association.

Since the Stanley Cup began to raise awareness for hockey's most important fight in 1998, the Cup has helped raise more than $6 million for cancer research organizations and Children's Hospitals throughout North America. The stop in Boise is one of many stops in the Hockey Fights Cancer tour, which is designed to galvanize support for the charity, and to share in fans' excitement about the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs.

WHY: As the official airline of The NHL and the NHL Players' Association, Southwest Airlines is proud to fly the Stanley Cup to five destinations on the Stanley Cup Hockey Fights Cancer Tour.
