Game Preview It's a huge game with playoff implications as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Port Huron Beacons tonight at Wings Stadium. The K-Wings and the Beacons have met 6 prior times, with each team winning three, however, the Beacons have won two straight over the K-Wings and both were at Wings Stadium.
The K-Wings enter the contest winless in their last two games; however, they are still in the thick of the playoff hunt. Kalamazoo starts play tonight just 4 points behind Flint and 1 point behind Rockford for the final spot in the UHL playoffs with 10 games remaining.
The Beacons enter tonight to continue to pull away from the Flint Generals for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. The Beacons are 8-2-0 in their last 10, and are 8-3-0 since Bruce Ramsey has taken over the reigns. Port Huron also bring to Wings Stadium a 2 game winnings streak.

His assist extends his scorings streak to 7 games, which ties him with Mark Vilneff for the K-Wings second longest streak of the season, and places him just one game behind Mark Lawrence, who has the longest scoring streak for the K-Wings with 8 games. . All Roeds Lead to the Net It's just not Shawn that has found a scoring touch, older brother Peter also carries a scoring streak into tonight's game. Peter has scored in his last 5 games, which is Peter's second longest streak of the year. Earlier this season, Peter went on a 6 game scoring streak.
Streaky Players Keeping with the trend, Yannick Carpentier and Kurt Miller enter tonight's game with 6 game point streak. For both players, the six game streak is their longest scoring streak of the year.
