Stampede Top Legends in Double Overtime Thriller

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede defeated the Texas Legends 129-126 in double overtime. The win keeps Idaho on top of the West Division and undefeated at home.

Texas center Melvin Ely converted two free throws with 22 seconds remaining in double overtime to put the Legends up 126-125. Idaho guard Pierre Jackson answered with a baseline jumper to give the Stampede the lead with 11 seconds left. Legends forward Devin Ebanks then had the ball stolen by Richard Howell with only three seconds on the clock. After Howell made both free throws, Texas guard Mickey McConnell missed a three pointer in the corner as the Stampede secured the 129-126 victory.

Idaho was led by Pierre Jackson with 41 points, his third 40-point performance of the season. Dee Bost added 19 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists and six steals. Richard Howell recorded another double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. Kellen Thornton pitched in with 20 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Texas was led by Mickey McConnell with 31 points off the bench. Ricky Ledo (19 points) and Devin Ebanks (17 points and 11 rebounds) were also key contributors. The Legends had six players score in double figures.

The Idaho Stampede (9-3) will face the Texas Legends (8-4) again tomorrow night, December 28, at 7 pm.

NEXT HOME GAME- The Stampede will host the Texas Legends at CenturyLink Arena on Saturday, December 28 at 7 pm.
