Skyforce Uses Dominant Fourth Quarter to Win Seventh Straight

Sioux Falls SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders 114-106 at the Sanford Pentagon Friday night. The Skyforce used a 12-3 run in the fourth quarter to put the game away after three tightly contested quarters.

Los Angeles (3-7) got the better of Sioux Falls (10-2) for most of the first three quarters and led by as many as 10 in the contest. The fourth quarter was a different story as Sioux Falls held Los Angeles - who was averaging just shy of 30 points each quarter - to just 17 points in the final stanza.

Sioux Falls controlled the glass in the second half to the tune of a 35-15 advantage for the half and a 20-4 difference in the fourth quarter. That difference was reflected in second chance points, where Sioux Falls scored 32 points off 22 offensive rebounds compared to just six points and nine offensive boards for Los Angeles.

On the scoreboard, all five Sioux Falls starters scored in double figures as DeAndre Liggins totaled 24, A.J. Davis scored 21, Ryan Evans finished with 18 points, Justin Hamilton notched 17, and Larry Drew II added 10. On the glass, Davis pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and Hamilton joined him in double-digits with 10. Evans and Liggins both finished one rebound shy of a double-double with nine rebounds.

Los Angeles was led by Manny Harris, who scored a game-high 31 points, followed by C.J. Williams with 21 and Jamario Moon had 17. James Southerland came off the bench to score 11 points and block four shots.

The same two teams will tangle tomorrow night at the Sanford Pentagon at 7 p.m. CT.
