TULSA, OK - Six Tulsa 66ers players scored 15 or more points as Tulsa used a team effort to top the Austin Toros, 111-90, at home on Friday night.
Mario Little led the game in scoring with 25 points alongside five rebounds while Grant Jerrett collected 18 points and six boards. Reggie Williams was an assist shy of a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals and Rodney Bartholomew, Ben Uzoh and Isaiah Wilkerson all scored 15 points apiece.
"Tonight we really shared the ball well," said Tulsa Head Coach Darko Rajakovic. "Our guys were unselfish and played with a lot of confidence. We had improved in creating assists, we cut down our turnovers and we won the rebound margin. All of those little details helped us get this win tonight."
After trailing Austin 18-17 with 5:40 remaining in the first quarter, the 66ers went on a 31-11 run that stretched to the 4:05 mark in the second quarter. During the run, which lasted a total of 13:35 in game minutes, the 66ers held Austin to 3-of-22 (.136) shooting from the field and outrebounded the Toros 22-13.
Tulsa took a 59-40 lead to halftime before the Toros opened the third quarter with an 11-0 run to pull within nine points. The 66ers halted the Austin run and went back and forth with the Toros the remainder of the quarter to lead 75-68 after three.
The 66ers regained a double-digit lead in the fourth with an early 13-6 run and held Austin to two made field goals in the first seven and a half minutes of the quarter. The 66ers outscored Austin 36-22 in the final frame on 16-of-23 (.696) shooting from the field behind 13 points from Wilkerson.
Tulsa (2-11) outrebounded the Toros 51-41 and dished out 19 assists. In their past two games, the 66ers have combined for 105 rebounds and 40 assists.
Austin (5-6) was led by Flip Murray with 24 points and Eric Dawson with 17 points and 16 rebounds.
