Stampede to Host Military Appreciation Night on Saturday

Boise, Idaho (February 19, 2015) - The Idaho Stampede today announced Military Appreciation Night presented by Toni & Guy on Saturday, February 21. Team representatives will present a check of $5,325 to the VA Home through the efforts of the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation, AAA Idaho and ticket fundraising.
The check will be presented to different officials and veterans at center court, in order to recognize and honor them for their service.
The night will have a strong military presence, as the Marines will present the colors before the National Anthem. The Navy will perform a swearing-in ceremony on the court during pregame, and Gowen Strong will be on hand to create awareness on preserving military resources in Boise.
"Of all the worthy causes the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation has been involved with over the years, the support of our military has been one of the most important and gratifying," said Bill Ilett, managing investor of the Stampede. "The Stampede did a major fundraiser at the time of the first call-up of our national guard in 2004 and another for our state militia when they returned from deployment in Iraq. We have always supported our military and will continue to do so in every way possible for years to come."
