BOISE, Idaho - Luke Jackson posted 27 points and Lance Allred recorded a double-double as the Idaho Stampede defeated the visiting Fort Wayne Mad Ants 90-80 on Saturday night.

Fort Wayne guard Ron Howard scored 19 of his 31 points in the first half, helping the Mad Ants go into the break with a 46-41 advantage.

Idaho battled back in the second half, going on an 8-0 run to start the third quarter. The teams exchanged the lead three times in the quarter, but Idaho took the lead for good on an acrobatic alley-oop dunk by Brent Petway with 6:19 remaining in the third quarter.

"With three games in four days we needed our veteran guys to step up," said Stampede Head Coach Bryan Gates. "Lance (Allred), Luke (Jackson) and Brent (Petway) really pulled through; we wouldn't have gotten the win without them."

Allred helped Idaho keep their lead in the fourth quarter as he scored eight of his 16 points in the last quarter. He also grabbed a season-high 20 rebounds in the win.

Brent Petway added 21 points for the Stampede and had a strong defensive presence as he blocked five shots.

The Stampede travel to Los Angeles for a Tuesday night game. Fort Wayne continues their road trip on Tuesday night against the Utah Flash.
