Erie BayHawks News Release
ERIE - The NBA Development League Erie BayHawks (11-13) losing skid continued with their fifth straight loss, and third straight at home with a 90 to 80 loss to the Central Division leading Iowa Energy (13-6) before a record BayHawk crowd of 4169 at the Tullio Arena.
Patrick Sanders led the Energy with game high 28 points, including six from three-point range. Cartier Martin chipped in 24 points and Othyus Jeffers completed a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Curtis Stinson chalked up 10 assists in the Energy's dominant performance.
The BayHawks once again struggled out of the chute and fell behind early in the game. A late charge put them within 7 points but the effort proved too little to late. Maureece Rice earned adidas player of the game honors with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the losing effort. Erik Daniels hit another double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The BayHawks wrap up the weekend set with the Energy, Sunday night with 6:45 pm air time on WJET 1400 AM. The family night game will feature $1 hot dogs courtesy of smith Provisions.
