
Stampede Set to Face Sioux City in Playoffs Starting Tuesday

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede will face the Sioux City Musketeers in the Western Conference Semifinals of the Clark Cup Playoffs beginning Tuesday in Sioux Falls. The two teams will square off in a best-of-five series with the Musketeers coming in as the top overall seed in the Western Conference and the Stampede as the fourth seed. Sioux Falls enters the regular season finale tonight in Fargo with a 32-22-5 record while the Musketeers finished the regular season with a conference best 38-17-5 record.
Game 1 will take place at the PREMIER Center this Tuesday, April 14th at 7:05 PM. Game 2 will be in Sioux City on Thursday, April 16th and Game 3 will be in Sioux City on Friday, April 17th. If necessary, Game 4 will be played at the PREMIER Center on Sunday, April 19th at 6:05 PM. A potential Game 5 will take place on Tuesday, April 21st at 7:05 PM in Sioux City.
Tickets for Game 1 are on sale now through the KELOLAND Box Office or any Ticketmaster location. The first 3,000 fans through the doors will receive a FREE Stampede playoff rally towel and all fans are invited to a special tailgate party located inside the PREMIER Center by the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame wall from 4:30-6 PM. Fans can play games, enjoy food and drinks and watch Sports Talk with Craig and Chris live on location. On Sunday, the Herd will host another tailgate party from 4-6 PM located inside the Birdcage. Games, music, food and drinks will be available on Sunday as well.

The last time these I-29 rivals met in the playoffs was in 2011 when the Stampede defeated the Musketeers 2 games to 1 in a first round, best-of-three matchup. The Herd went on to sweep the Omaha Lancers in the Western Conference Semifinals before falling in four games to Dubuque in the Conference Finals.
The Stampede close out the regular season portion of their schedule tonight (Saturday) when they travel to Fargo to face the Force at 7:05 PM. Fans can catch all the action live on KELO News Talk 1320-AM, 107.9-FM and online at KELO.COM starting at 6:40 PM.
