
Stampede Roll Past Rio Grande Valley

BOISE, Idaho - Mikki Moore made two free throws to give the Stampede the lead with 47.9 seconds left to give the Stampede the lead for good as Idaho beat Rio Grande Valley 99-94 at CenturyLink Arena.
The Stampede (9-16) were led by Terrico White, who had 19 points and eight rebounds, while Tony Bobbitt and Moore (13 rebounds) each finished with 13 points, Devin Green had 12 points and Seth Tarver tallied 10 points and six rebounds. David Bailey added five points, 10 assists and four steals.
Idaho got out to a 30-17 lead after one quarter, and led by as many as 15, before the Vipers were able to tie the game at 94. The Stampede out-rebounded RGV 47-34, picked up 12 steals and shot 50 percent or higher in three of four quarters.
The Vipers (19-11) were led by Greg Smith, who had 24 points, while Ben Uzoh added 14. Will Conroy had nine points, 10 assists and five rebounds off the bench.
Idaho plays Rio Grande Valley again tomorrow night, with the Stampede again donning pink jerseys that are up for auction on idahostampede.afrogs.org with proceeds going to the St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute.
