Idaho Stampede News Release

BOISE, Idaho, March 30, 2012 - The Idaho Stampede's colors may be red and black, but next week, they'll be focused on green.

The Idaho Stampede have partnered with Idaho Power for a second-consecutive year, as part of the NBA Development League's Green Week, a week of awareness to educate fans about wise energy use and actively become more "green."

The Stampede will pay the Bakersfield Jam on April 6 and 7 during Green Week.

Idaho Power employees will greet fans and share information about energy efficiency programs like See ya later, refrigeratorR, Energy Efficient Lighting and Home Improvement. During the Stampede games on April 6 and 7, special Idaho Power t-shirts will be shot into the stands and one Stampede player will be designated the "Idaho Power Efficient Player of the Game."

Fans can also enter a text promotion to win a prize by visiting one of the Idaho Power kiosks in CenturyLink Arena and collecting special keywords. To enter, they will send a text message with a keyword to a designated number. If it is the correct keyword, they will receive a text confirming their entry, as well as a fun energy efficiency fact related to that word. One grand prize winner will be notified via text at the end of the game on April 7. To learn more, and to review official rules and eligibility, visit www.idahopower.com/text2win.

This year, the Stampede is offsetting electricity use for all its home games with green power. For each kWh of electricity used, one kilowatt-hour (kWh) of renewable energy is generated - a total purchase of more than 10,000 kWh.
