Iowa response was to go to their newcomers as Paul Harris and Vernon Hamilton, both playing their first game with the Energy, each scored a basket as Iowa went on a mini-run to extend the lead to 72-67.

Strong finished with 11 points and a career high 9 blocks while Harris added 16 points in the Energy debut. The win moves Iowa to 24-21 on the season, currently good for 8th place in the playoff race.
