
Springfield's Dennis Horner Signs with New Jersey Nets

NEW YORK, March 30, 2012 - The New Jersey Nets today signed Springfield Armor forward Dennis Horner for the record 47th GATORADE Call-up of the 2011-12 NBA Development League season. Horner joins more than 100 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on 2011-12 rosters.
In 25 games, 20 starts, with the Armor this season, Horner (6-9, 230, North Carolina State) is averaging 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds, while shooting .471 from the field. He scored a season-high 29 points on 10-for-15 from the field, including 3-for-4 from three-point range against the Maine Red Claws on Feb. 27.
Horner returns to the Nets following a five-game stint with the team in December and January, when he scored four points in 16 minutes.
Horner is expected to join New Jersey today and be available when the team faces the Kings in Sacramento tomorrow night.
