
Stampede Add Jefferson, Activate Dartez

BOISE, Idaho, December 1, 2011 - The Idaho Stampede acquired Dontell Jefferson (6-4, 195, Arkansas) as a returning player, and also activated Kendall Dartez (6-10, 257, Louisville) from the injured list, the club announced today.
Both players are activated and will dress for tonight's game against the Dakota Wizards (7 p.m., CenturyLink Arena). Jefferson, who will wear No. 6, played eight games (8 starts) for Idaho last season, averaging 10.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, before succumbing to an injury. In his career, Jefferson has played 159 games (110 starts) with averages of 14.5 points, 4.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. Jefferson played six games for the Charlotte Bobcats in 2008-09, where he averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Dartez, who was in training camp with the Stampede until being waived due to injury, has played in Korea and in the D-League before, being selected in the 4th round of the 2004 D-League Draft by the Florida Flame. In college career, Dartez finished his time in 2004 at Louisville after starting at Lee College in Baytown, Texas and then transferring to Vincennes University. Dartez, who will wear No. 41 with Idaho, started 28 of 30 games as a senior at Louisville and averaged 5.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
The Stampede play the Dakota Wizards tonight and tomorrow at CenturyLink Arena at 7 p.m.
