BOISE, Idaho, December 1, 2011 - Cheyne Gadson scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, but it wasn't enough as the Dakota Wizards (2-1) beat the Idaho Stampede (0-3) 120-77 at CenturyLink Arena. The Wizards scored 27 or more points in each quarter and shot 58.0 percent from the field, made nine three-pointers and made 31 free throws, while out-rebounding the Stampede 53-38.
The Stampede went 28-of-85 from the field to shoot 32.9 percent, while the Wizards took 16 fewer shots, but made 12 more.
Anthony Goods had 31 points (5-9 3FG) to lead Dakota, who had six scorers reach double-figures. Curtis Withers had the game's only double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while bench players Mickell Gladness (15 points), Shy Ely (14 points) and Travis Walton (12 points) reached double digits.
Seth Tarver was the high man out of the Stampede starting five, finishing with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists. Starters Jason Ellis and Kendall Dartez were held scoreless and the bench outscored the starting five 52-25. Eric Devendorf had 11 points (5-6 FT).
The Stampede play the Wizards again tomorrow night at CenturyLink Arena at 7 p.m.
