
Stampede Acquire Bobbitt

BOISE, Idaho, February 28, 2011 - The Idaho Stampede announced today they have acquired guard Tony Bobbitt (6-4, 205, Cincinnati) from the Springfield Armor in a trade for Lance Hurdle.
In nine games (8 starts) Bobbitt averaged 13.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Armor. Bobbitt scored a season-high 28 points (8-16 3FG) against the Bakersfield Jam on Feb. 4.
Bobbitt has played two games in the NBA as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers - he scored five points, grabbed three rebounds and played 12 minutes in the 2004-05 season.
The Daytona Beach, Fla. native spent two seasons at the College of Southern Idaho from 2000-02, where he averaged 14.1 points (.441 FG%, .404 3FG%, .802 FT%) before transferring to the University of Cincinnati. While at Cincinnati, Bobbitt, born Oct. 22, 1979, averaged 10.9 points in two seasons. As a senior, Bobbitt was named the Conference USA Sixth Man of the Year (2003-04) and earned Third Team All-Conference USA honors.
Bobbitt will wear jersey No. 15.
Idaho plays the Sioux Falls Skyforce tomorrow at 6 p.m. (MST) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
