PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that guard Champ Oguchi has requested to be waived due to personal reasons to attend to a family matter.
"We are sorry to see Champ Oguchi go," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "He has been a class act from day one and is among the hardest working players on the team. Whether it is this season or next, we look forward to seeing him in a Red Claws' uniform again."
The Red Claws will retain Oguchi's NBA Development League rights.
