BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Guards Malcolm Hill and Izaiah Brockington each scored 22 points, but the Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, fell at the Delaware Blue Coats, 132-126, Friday night.
Birmingham (13-16) led 103-91 after three quarters, but the Blue Coats (18-10) outscored the Squadron 41-23 in the fourth quarter for the comeback win.
All five Birmingham starters, including Hill and Brockington, as well as Dereon Seabron (18), Karlo Matkovic (17) and Jalen Crutcher (16) scored in double-figures, as did Devin Cannady (14) and E.J. Liddell (12) off the Squadron bench.
The Blue Coats' Terquavion Smith led all scorers with 26 points off the Delaware Bench, while starter Ricky Council IV notched 23.
The Squadron and Blue Coats rematch tomorrow for a 5 p.m. tip that can be seen locally on My68 or nationally on Tubi.
