The Springfield Falcons finished a busy week going 2-1-1-0 in four games taking five of a possible eight points in the standings. The Falcons started last week with a 5-3 win over the Binghamton Senators on December 11, followed by a 4-3 shootout victory on December 14 against Houston. Springfield concluded the week with a pair of games in Portland losing in overtime on December 15 by a score of 4-3, followed by a 1-0 setback on December 16.

The Springfield Falcons are 10-4 in 14 home games this year, the third highest home winning percentage in the Eastern Conference.

The Falcons remain in third place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 16-10-2-3, only three points behind second place Hartford.

Falcons forward Ben Simon had a three-game goal-scoring streak from December 8-14 collecting three goals and three assists in that span.

Falcons rookie Liam Reddox collected two goals and one assist in four games last week. Reddox is currently fourth in the AHL in rookie scoring with eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points in 27 games.

Falcons forward Rob Schremp is tied for third in the AHL in scoring with eight goals and 25 assists for 33 points in 29 games. Schremp has collected a point in five of his last six games and 13 of his last 15 games overall.

Falcons goaltender Jeff Deslauriers remains the AHL leader in wins with 14. Deslauriers played in his 100th career AHL game on December 16 at Portland.

Falcons defenseman T.J. Kemp recorded a point in three of four games last week. Kemp, who leads all Springfield defensemen in scoring, is tied for the fourth most points in the league by defensemen with three goals and 17 assists for 20 points in 24 games.

Rick Berry played in his 600th career pro game on December 16 at Portland including 403 in the AHL and 197 in the NHL.
