
Flames Finish Road Trip With 3-1-0-1 Mark

Moline, IL- The Flames finished their road trip last week with a 3-1-0-1 record as they improved to 9-5-0-2 on the road this season. Quad City traveled to San Antonio where they avenged two early season losses to the Rampage by going 1-0-0-1. The win on Wednesday night was the first of the season over San Antonio. On Friday night, the Flames suffered a 3-2 shootout loss extending their unbeaten streak to four games. Flying back to Illinois on Saturday, the team arrived in Rockford where they lost their only game of the road trip. The Hogs shut out Quad City 3-0 behind netminder Corey Crawford's 14 saves.
This week, the Quad Cities welcome back the Flames to the i wireless Center as they start a three-game home stand. The Flames play the Iowa Stars on Wednesday and Saturday night as they look to stay undefeated against the team for the season. In the previous two match ups between the teams, Quad City has out scored the Stars 9-1. On Friday night, the Flames take on the Milwaukee Admirals for the fifth time this season. The Flames look to improve their record against the Admirals as they have won two of the five meetings.

The Flames return to The Blackbear Lounge at The Lodge tonight for another edition of Flames Forum. Host Aaron Roof will be joined by Head Coach Ryan McGill, Kris Chucko, Matt Pelech and Gord Baldwin. The show begins at 6:00 p.m. and can be heard on WYEC 93.9 FM.

The Flames welcome their season ticket holders to the i wireless Center on Tuesday night for the team's annual Season Ticket Holder Holiday Party.

Fans can turn in unused tickets from the Flames game on December 1st at the i wireless Center Box Office for tickets to Wednesday's game vs. Iowa.

Swiss Valley Farms Cowbell Giveaway
Saturday, December 22nd at 7:05 p.m. vs. the Iowa Stars
The first 2,000 fans to arrive at the i wireless Center for Saturday's showdown with Iowa will receive red Flames Cow Bells courtesy of Swiss Valley Farms. The giveaway marks the second consecutive season that Swiss Valley Farms has given away cow bells to Quad City hockey fans during the holiday season.
Road Game Viewing Party at Bleacher Bums in Davenport and Parkside Grill and Lounge in Moline
The Flames invite fans to follow the team on the road via b2 Viewing Parties at Bleacher Bums in Davenport or Parkside Grill and Lounge in Moline. The team's next road game is on December 26th at Iowa. Drink specials will be offered at both locations. Fans in attendance at Bleacher Bums can purchase $5 domestic pitchers or buckets of beer for $12. Bleacher Bums is located at 3811 N. Harrison Street in Davenport, across the street from Lujack's. Parkside Grill and Lounge is located at 2307 5th Avenue in Moline.

This week's games will be preceded by the Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show beginning 25 minutes prior to face-off. After the game, stay tuned for the Kinetic Fitness Post-Game Show. Wednesday, December 12th - Quad City 4 at San Antonio 2
The Flames scored three times in the third period to earn their 13th victory of the year in a 4-2 win over San Antonio on Wednesday night at the AT&T Center. Krys Kolanos extended his goal-scoring streak to four games in the win while Grant Stevenson recorded a point for the sixth consecutive contest. Kris Chucko, Tim Hambly and Carsen Germyn also scored for Quad City in the win. The teams combined for three goals in the second period following a scoreless opening frame. Kris Chucko netted his fourth goal of the year at 1:05 of the opening period with assists to Carsen Germyn and Adam Pardy. The Rampage answered at 10:53 of the middle period when Joel Perrault tipped home a Ryan Caldwell point shot to tie the game. Perrault struck again on the power-play at 15:42 of the period when he buried a cross-ice feed from Matt Murley to put the Rampage in front at 2-1. The Flames staged a strong third to come from behind and earn the victory. At 13:37 of the final frame, Krys Kolanos scored a power-play goal on a shot from the goal line that eluded San Antonio's Josh Torjman and found the back of the net. The Flames moved in front just 1:21 later when Tim Hambly scored his fourth goal of the year on a shot from a poor angle. Carsen Germyn netted an insurance goal on a breakaway 2:27 later to set the final at 4-2.
Friday, December 14th - Quad City 1 at San Antonio 2 Shootout
The Flames earned a regulation point on Friday in a 2-1 shootout loss to the San Antonio Rampage. A fifth round shootout goal by Travis Roche earned the Rampage the win while the Flames remained unbeaten (3-0-0-1) on their current five-game road trip. David Van der Gulik scored the regulation goal for Quad City. The Rampage scored the only goal of the opening period on a power play at 17:34 of the frame. David Spina dug a puck off the wall and fed Enver Lisin who wired a shot past Flames netminder Matt Keetley to give the Rampage a 1-0 edge. The Flames tied the game in the second period on a power-play goal by David Van der Gulik. The Flames forward scored his sixth goal of the season after working a give and go with Brandon Prust at 4:54 of the middle period. Tim Hambly earned the secondary assist on the goal. Van der Gulik's tally held up as the only goal of the middle frame. Quad City limited San Antonio to just one shot in the period (a neutral zone dump-in by Josh Gratton). After a scoreless third period and overtime, the game headed to a shootout. The teams traded goals through the first two rounds of the shootout. In the third and fourth rounds, Quad City netminder Matt Keetley and San Antonio goaltender David LeNeveu moved to the forefront as they both stopped consecutive shooters. In the fifth round, LeNeveu stopped Tomi Maki before Travis Roche beat Keetley to secure the victory for the Rampage.
Saturday, December 15th- Quad City 0 at Rockford 3
The Flames closed a five-game road trip with a 3-0 loss in Rockford. Rockford's Corey Crawford earned his second shutout of the season after stopping 14 shots. Despite the defeat, the Flames finished the road trip with a 3-1-0-1 mark. The Hogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 19:11 of the first when Jordan Hendry wired a one-timer from Jack Skille past Quad City netminder Matt Keetley. The marker was the only goal of the opening frame as the Hogs left the sheet for the first intermission with a 1-0 edge. The Hogs struck again in the second period when Jack Skille snipped a shot from the right wing circle and into the Quad City net. The marker was Skille's seventh goal of the season and put the Hogs up 2-0 after 40 minutes. The Hogs added additional insurance in the third when Martin St. Pierre scored on the power-play. St. Pierre's 12th goal of the season set the final at 3-0 in favor of Rockford.
