12.14.07 - Worcester 2- Wilkes-Barre Scranton 1 - Shootout - DCU Center
Thomas Greiss made 41 saves and the Worcester Sharks broke a season high five game winless streak with a 2-1 Shootout victory over the Penguins. Tomas Plihal scored the Sharks only goal, a shorthanded goal at 16:46 of the second period after a nice feed from Tom Cavanagh. Mike Morris was the only successful shooter in the Shootout and was credited with the game winning goal.
12.15.07 - Worcester 4 - Houston 2 - DCU Center
The Sharks held the Aeros to a season low 22 shots and Lukas Kaspar scored two goals as the Sharks won their second straight game. Tomas Plihal recorded three points (1-2-3), Graham Mink had a goal and an assist, and Patrick Traverse added two assists. Thomas Greiss made 20 saves in net for the Sharks.
12.16.07 - Worcester 5 - Manchester 1 - Verizon Wireless Arena
The Sharks scored the first goal of the game for the third straight game aided by two first period goals by T.J. Fox. Riley Armstrong, Tom Walsh, and Lukas Kaspar also scored for the Sharks. Marc Busenburg recorded two assists and was +4 with his D-Man pairing Dan Spang. Nate Raduns added two assists. Taylor Dakers recorded his second professional victory stopping 28 shots in net.
Sharks in the Atlantic...
The Sharks (11-10-1-2) swim in 6th place in the Atlantic Division, nine points behind the Pirates for 4th place in the division but have five games in hand. The Sharks trail the Providence Bruins by 23 points for the top spot in the Atlantic.

*Worcester to host the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic!
American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced that the Worcester Sharks and the city of Worcester have been awarded the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic. The event will take place at the DCU Center in January, 2009. The 2009 event in Worcester will mark the fourth time since it was revived in 1995 that the AHL All-Star Classic will take place in New England. The AHL All-Star Game was last held in Massachusetts in 1959 at the Eastern States Coliseum in West Springfield.
Coming Up:
The Sharks hit the road for three games this week.
The Sharks visit the Lowell Devils on Tuesday, December 18th at 7:05p.m. and then travel to Portland with a pair of games this weekend in Maine. The Sharks battle the Pirates on Friday and Saturday at 7:05p.m. in Portland.
The Sharks return to the DCU Center on Saturday, December 29th against the Monarchs, with the first 3,000 fans through the gates picking up a hand signed Mike Iggulden collector's card. The evening will also feature post game fireworks as the Sharks celebrate the upcoming New Year.
