Lowell Spinners News Release

BROOKLYN, NY - Wet weather has forced the postponement of Tuesday's start to a six-game roadtrip for the Lowell Spinners, as the team was rained out in Brooklyn.

The Spinners and Cyclones will now play a doubleheader on Wednesday, with two seven-inning games beginning at 6pm.

The rainout could be advantageous for the Spinners, who traveled to Brooklyn Tuesday morning. With probable starter Heri Quevedo promoted, the Spinners were facing a bullpen game on Monday, a task much easier to manage within the confines of a seven inning game.

The Spinners trail the Wild Card leading Connecticut Tigers by 3.5 games, but are 2.5 behind Brooklyn in their chase for the New York-Penn League's final post-season spot. Tune in live to 980 WCAP tomorrow beginning at 5:45pm for the start of the critical three-game series.
