NORWICH, CT- The Connecticut Tigers continue their push towards the playoffs with a big three game weekend homestand Friday, August 15th through Sunday, August 17th. The Tigers have their sights set on playoff baseball as they welcome the Aberdeen IronBirds (Orioles affiliate) to town. Don't miss Detroit Tigers top prospect and 2014 1st round draft pick, outfielder Derek Hill!
Friday, August 15th is Connecticut Department of Transportation Night, as the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a CT Tigers piggy bank. Stick around after the final out for a thrilling fireworks display presented by US Foods! Gametime is 7:05 pm and gates open at 6 pm, so make sure to arrive early to get your piggy bank!
The Tigers and IronBirds square off again on Saturday, August 16th at 7:05 pm. Gates open at 6 pm and the first 1,000 fans will receive a CT Tigers hat courtesy of Backus and Windham Hospitals.
On Sunday, August 17th the first 750 fans through the gates will receive the fourth and final installment of the Dodd Stadium 20 Seasons Baseball Card Series courtesy of Backus Hospital. Set 4 features Alfonso Soriano, Brian Wilson, Brandon Crawford, and Roger Clemens! Gates open at 3 pm and gametime is 4:05 pm. Following the game all kids will be allowed on the field for Kids Run The Bases presented by Ben & Jerry's and Have A Catch presented by Falvey's and ROXY FM 100.9.
The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2014 individual game tickets, and team merchandise are on sale! The front office and ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person, at cttigers.com, or by calling 860-887-7962.
