After 4-2 Road Trip, Jammers Return to Diethrick Park
JAMESTOWN, NY - Winning on the road can be tough to do. But, after being faced with a daunting six game road trip with stops in both Connecticut and Aberdeen, the Jamestown Jammers managed to go 4-2. They return home to Diethrick Park with an overall record of 25-31, and a 5-5 record in their last 10 games. They currently find themselves 5.5 games back of the Connecticut Tigers in the New York-Penn League Wild Card race.
The opponent for the next three games will be the Auburn Doubledays. The Doubledays currently sit at 26-30, and are 6.5 games behind the State College Spikes in the Pinckney division. They are also 4.5 games behind the Tigers in the Wild Card standings. Auburn is 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Tuesday, August 12th: RHP James Bourque (Auburn, 1-4, 3.81 ERA) vs. RHP Frank Duncan (Jamestown, 2-2, 3.45 ERA)
James Bourque: Right-handed pitcher from Ann Arbor, Michigan. 14th round pick in the 2014 Draft out of the University of Michigan. In seven starts for Auburn in 2014, Bourque has thrown 26 innings, given up 35 hits, 24 runs (11 earned), has walked nine, struck out 19, has a record of 1-4, and an ERA of 3.81.
Frank Duncan: Right-handed pitcher from San Francisco, California. 13th round pick in the 2014 Draft out of the University of Kansas. Has made 10 starts for the Jammers so far in 2014. In 44 1/3 innings, Duncan has given up 46 hits, 19 runs (17 earned), has walked nine, struck out 29, has a 2-2 record, and an ERA of 3.45.
Wednesday, August 13th: RHP Austen Williams (Auburn, 2-2, 5.61 ERA) vs. RHP Montana DuRapau (Jamestown, 1-2, 2.85 ERA)
Austen Williams: Right-handed pitcher from Fort Worth, Texas. 6th round pick in the 2014 Draft out of Texas State. Has made six starts for the Doubledays in 2014. In 25 2/3 innings, Williams has given up 29 hits, 20 runs (16 earned), has walked six, struck out 18, has a 2-2 record, and an ERA of 5.61.
Montana DuRapau: Right-handed pitcher from Deltona, Florida. 32nd round pick in the 2014 Draft out of Bethune Cookman University. Has made 11 appearances for Jamestown in 2014 (seven starts). In 41 innings, DuRapau has given up 41 hits, 16 runs (13 earned), has walked six, struck out 33, has a record of 1-2, and an ERA of 2.85.
Thursday, August 14th: RHP Drew Van Orden (Auburn, 1-3, 5.60 ERA) vs. RHP Tyler Eppler (Jamestown, 0-2, 3.02 ERA)
Drew Van Orden: Right-handed pitcher from Manhattan Beach, California. 5th round pick in 2014 out of Duke University. Has made seven appearances for the Doubledays in 2014 (six starts). In 27 1/3 innings, Van Orden has given up 34 hits, 18 runs (17 earned), has walked eight, struck out 23, has a 1-3 record, and an ERA of 5.60.
Tyler Eppler: Right-handed pitcher from Navasota, Texas. 6th round pick in 2014 out of Sam Houston State. Has made 11 starts for the Jammers in 2014. In 50 2/3 innings, Eppler has given up 45 hits, 22 runs (17 earned), has walked 10, struck out 35, has an 0-2 record, and an ERA of 3.02.

Carl Anderson (Outfielder): Recently selected to represent the South team at the 2014 New York-Penn League All-Star Game. Currently leads the Jammers in hits, with 52, stolen bases (14), has seven doubles, three triples, and 12 runs driven in.
Kevin Ross (Infielder): Also selected to play in the 2014 NYPL All-Star Game. In 41 games this season, Ross is hitting .271, has 42 total hits, 11 doubles, one home run, and has 24 RBIs.
Sam Street (Relief Pitcher): The third Jammer selected to play in the 2014 NYPL All-Star Game. Has been a consistent force out of the bullpen all season long. In 11 appearances, Street has thrown 19 innings, has given up only 11 hits, has struck out 14, and has a stellar ERA of 1.42.
Players to Watch (Auburn)
Jose Marmolejos (Infielder): One of the two Doubledays selected to participate in the 2014 All-Star Game. Is hitting .267 this season in 49 games, with 12 doubles, three triples, one home run, and 24 RBIs.
Mario Sanchez (Relief Pitcher): The other Auburn player selected to play in the All-Star Game. Has a 5-0 record out of the bullpen in 2014. In 28 1/3 innings, Sanchez has given up only 22 hits, 12 runs (8 earned), has struck out 22, and has an ERA of 2.54.
