South Bend Silver Hawks Roster Move

South Bend Silver Hawks News Release


South Bend, IN - In conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that reliever Blake Cooper has been promoted to high-A Visalia. No corresponding move has been announced at this point.

Cooper has filled the closer role for South Bend in 2011, converting nine of 11 save opportunities. He is 2-3 overall this season with a 3.35 ERA in 31 relief appearances. The right-hander, who also led South Carolina to a College World Series title in 2010, had 38 strikeouts in 40.1 innings pitched this year.

The South Bend roster currently stands at 23 active players, plus three on the disabled list.
