Sounders FC Loans Ockford to New York Cosmos

Seattle Sounders FC News Release
RENTON, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC has signed defender Jimmy Ockford and loaned him to the New York Cosmos for the 2014 season, club announced today.
Ockford, 21, was selected by Sounders FC in the second round (21st overall) of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. Ockford spent his first three collegiate seasons at Mount St. Mary's before transferring to Louisville for his senior season, where he was a 2013 NSCAA All-Midwest First Team selection and was named American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He has registered 210 minutes in four games for Seattle this preseason.
