Houston Dynamo Midfielder Boniek Garcia Called up for Honduras

HOUSTON (Wednesday, February 26, 2014) - Houston Dynamo midfielder Boniek GarcÃ-a has been named to the Honduras national team roster for their upcoming match against Venezuela, it was announced today.
Garcia will join Los Catrachos on Sunday. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
GarcÃ-a, 29, featured in each of Honduras' qualifying matches for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Tegucigalpa native has earned 91 caps for Honduras and has tallied seven goals and 12 assists in MLS regular season play since joining the Dynamo in June 2012.
GarcÃ-a will return to Houston on March 6 and is expected to be available for selection for the Dynamo's 2014 home opener vs. New England, scheduled for March 8.
