Sounders FC Flag to be Raised in Olympia this Friday

SEATTLE, WASH. - This Friday, media and fans are invited to Olympia as Sounders FC is honored by Washington state with a flag-raising ceremony to take place on the north steps of the Legislative Building at 12:00 p.m. PT.

A Sounders FC flag flies over the Capitol in 2016, following the Rave Green's first MLS Cup Championship victory. On Friday, Governor Inslee will be joined by Garth Lagerwey and Kasey Keller for another flag raising ceremony in honor of the team's 2019 title (Charis Wilson / Sounders FC Communications).

Governor Jay Inslee is joined by Seattle's General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey and team alumnus and legend Kasey Keller as the club is celebrated for winning its second MLS Cup Championship.

Following the flag raising ceremony and through 2:00 p.m. PT, both Sounders FC's 2016 and 2019 MLS Cups will be available for public viewing and photos in the Governor's Office Conference Room inside the Legislative Building.
