Beloit Sky Carp News Release
The Beloit Snappers are teaming up with the Minnesota Twins, Beloit Meals on Wheels, and The Rock Bar & Grill to present Twins Weekend here in Beloit, July 20-22! The weekend will consist of three event-filled days. A few of the activities and promotions include: a Twins inspired jersey auction, a chance to win four Minnesota Twins tickets with a one night stay at the Graves 601 Hotel in Minneapolis, and a breakfast at The Rock Bar & Grill with proceeds benefitting Beloit Meals on Wheels. Special guests for the weekend include Ron Coomer, former Minnesota Twins infielder, TC Bear, and Sue the organist! Sue, the Target Field organist, will be entertaining fans with traditional organ music between innings.
During the game on Friday, the Snappers will debut their Twins inspired jerseys. The game will start at 7:00 PM, with gates opening at 6:00 PM. Also, the first 200 fans will receive giveaway items courtesy of the Minnesota Twins! Our special guests, Ron Coomer and Sue the organist will be in attendance for the game as well. Ron will throw out the first pitch, and have an autograph session on the concourse from 6:00-6:45 PM, while Sue will be up in the Minuteman press box pumping up the crowd! One lucky fan in attendance will have the chance to win four Minnesota Twins tickets to the September 8th game against Cleveland Indians with a one night stay at the Graves 601 Hotel right across from Target Field!
On Saturday morning, there will be a breakfast sponsored by The Rock Bar & Grill. TC Bear, Snappy D. Turtle, Ron Coomer, and members of the Beloit Snappers 2012 team will all be in attendance. Tickets for the Twins Weekend Breakfast are $6.00 per person with the net proceeds going directly to Beloit Meals on Wheels. The purchase of a ticket includes one of two meal choices and a general admission ticket to Saturday night's game. The first option includes scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, a muffin, and milk or coffee; and the second option includes pancakes, bacon, a muffin, and milk or coffee. To ensure a seat at the breakfast, be sure to order your tickets in advance!
