
Snappers lose another heartbreaker

The Snappers lost the first game of their final homestand of the season, 2-1 to visiting Peoria. The Chiefs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after a lead off triple. Beloit tied the game when Javi Sanchez singeld in Trevor Plouffe. Peoria took a 2-1 lead in the top of the eighth. Beloit starter Kevin Slowey went eight innings striking out nine, but still took his first loss of the season.
Beloit and Peoria will play game two of four tomorrow night at Pohlman Field, first pitch at 7:00 pm.
