Snappers final home stand of 2005 season

The Beloit Snappers return home Monday, August 29 to start their final home stand of the 2005 season. The Snappers are currently in the thick of the playoff race. If Beloit would happen to earn a spot in the Midwest League Playoffs, the first game would be at Pohlman Field Wednesday, September 7. The Snappers would either play the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers or the Clinton LumberKings. Be sure to come out to Pohlman Field to cheer the Snappers on as they play for a post season berth.

Monday, August 29 at 7:00 pm the Snappers will take on the Peoria Chiefs in the first game of a four game set. Monday is a Must Win Miller Monday; if the Snappers don't win everyone in attendance will receive a ticket to the Wednesday, August 31 game against Peoria. As always 12 oz drafts of Miller Lite and MGD are just 99 cents thanks to Ott-Schweitzer and WJVL 99.9 FM. ESPN Radio 1380 will also be broadcasting the game.

Tuesday, August 30 the Snappers and Chiefs will play game two at 7:00 pm. Tuesdays are $1 Night and College Night. College students showing a valid college ID can get a general admission ticket for just $1. Everyone can enjoy dollar hot dogs, sodas and 12 oz Leinenkugels.

Wednesday, August 31 at 7:00 pm Beloit and Peoria will play the third game of the series. Be sure to come out for Wet Your Whistle Wednesday and enjoy an ice cold 16 oz plastic bottle of Miller Lite or MGD for just $2.75.

Thursday, September 1 the Snappers and Chiefs will wrap up their four game series with first pitch set for 7:00 pm. Thursday is Twin Bargain Thursday sponsored by our friends at WCLO 1230 AM, celebrating 75 years on the air! Fans can buy two box seats for $7.50 and get a second concession item for just 75 cents. Don't forget that 12 oz bottles of Leinenkugels are just $2 thanks to Ott-Schweitzer.

Friday, September 2 the Snappers host their in-state rival the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers for the final four games of the Milk Pail Series sponsored by BlueGreen Vacation Club. The Milk Pail Series is tied 6-6. First pitch is set for 7:00 pm on Friday. Be sure to keep an eye on the Community Shopper to get your 2-for-1 coupon for CSI Family Fun Fridays, the last one of the season.

Saturday, September 3 at 7:00 pm the Snappers and Timber Rattlers will play game two of the Milk Pail Series. Saturday Night is Fan/Sponsor Appreciation Night. Every fan in attendance will have the chance to win prizes from the Snappers and our Corporate Partners. One fan will have the chance to win a new GMC Canyon courtesy of Finley GMC; two fans will have the chance to win a hot tub from Wolter Pools and many other prizes. Fans that bring in a box of Shur Fine Macaroni and Cheese from Woodman's can get a dollar off admission and enter to win the season long drawing for a Snappers Prize Pack. We will cap off the entire evening with fireworks.

Sunday, September 4 is SnapperPalooza, the Snappers and Festivals Inc. have teamed up to provide a day filled with baseball, music and fireworks. The third game of the series is set for 2:00 pm. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a BJ Surhoff Bobble Head Doll sponsored by Mercy Health System and ESPN Radio 1380. From 11-1 "Gould & Patrick" will be performing outside the gates of Pohlman Field. Following the game "The Orphans" will be playing on the main concourse. The evening will end with a fireworks show sponsored by Redline Amusements.

Monday, September 5 the Snappers will wrap up the Milk Pail Series as well as the regular season with first pitch at 2:00 pm. Monday is the final All You Can Eat Day of the season. Ticket prices for adults are $12 and kids and seniors are $10, which include admission to the game and the rights to an all you can eat menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, peanuts, popcorn and Pepsi products.
