Sloan Joins Ams for Pre-Season Tournaments

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has recalled 15-year-old forward Jake Sloan for the Everett and the Red Lion pre-season tournaments. He will return to the Leduc Oil Kings Minor Midget AAA following the tournaments.

Sloan signed with the Americans in June after being selected by the club in the third round (55th overall) of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 6'3, 190-pound center played last season with the Leduc Oil Kings Bantam AAA of the AMBHL. In 33 games played he totaled 40 goals and 34 assists for 74 points. He finished the season tied for second overall in AMBHL scoring and was named the league's Most Valuable Player for the 2018-19 season.

The Americans will play their first pre-season game on Friday, August 30th against the Everett Silvertips kicking off the Everett pre-season tournament.

Fans can watch the Americans back home at the Toyota Center at the annual Red Lion Pre-Season Tournament beginning on Thursday, September 5th. A ticket package for all five tournament games can be purchased for $25 from the Americans office. Call 509-737-0606 for details.
