Sliders Fall in Home Finale

Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti News Release


The Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti last home game this season at EMU's Oestrike Stadium resulted in a 6-1 loss to the Washington Wild Things.

Both teams starters threw seven innings, the difference in the game was Sliders' Kyle Wink allowed five runs while Washington's Brian McCullough didn't allow a earned run. McCullough earned his sixth win and Wink's record drops to 1-5.

Slider killer Jacob Dempsey kept enjoying playing at Oestrike Stadium. He scored two runs had a single, and drove in a run.

The Sliders once again could only scratch together a couple of hits. Two hits by Jonnie Knoble and Clay McCord were the only ones. Robbie Knapp scored the only run after he was hit by a pitch.

Midwest will hit the road starting Tuesday to complete the last six games of the regular season on the road.
