Slam Helps Erie Outdistance Senators

Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Senators dropped their second straight game to Erie 8-4 Wednesday night at FNB Field. For the second straight game Erie hit a grand slam to cap a five-run inning. Trailing 5-0 the Sens rallied to close to within 5-4 before Erie tacked on three runs late.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Seth Romero started and went 1.2 innings allowing five runs on three hits.

Carson Teel had a strong outing, going 4.1 innings allowing four hits while striking out five and walking one.

Bryan Dobzanski tossed two innings allowing four hits and two runs while striking out three.

Carlos Navas went an inning allowing a solo home run.

WITH THE GAVEL

Cole Freeman had two hits including a double and he drove in a run.

KJ Harrison homered and doubled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Donovan Casey and Jakson Reetz both hit solo home runs.

FILIBUSTERS

The SeaWolves have hit a grand slam in each of the first two games of the series, the first two grand slams against the Senators this season. The Sens hit three solo home runs in the game, the second time in the past five games they've homered three times in a game.

The Senators and Erie SeaWolves play game three of their six-game series Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:10 p.m.
