Sioux Falls, S.D. (February 25, 2010) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired forward Justin Bowen from the Austin Toros in exchange for forward Michael Joiner. He is expected to be in uniform on Saturday night when Sioux Falls visits the league-leading Iowa Energy. The active roster now stands at nine players.
Bowen has appeared in 30 games (21 starts) with the Toros this season and is averaging 8.8 points and 5.1 rebounds. The 6-7, 210-pound forward holds career averages of 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 120 games with the Toros over three seasons (2006-08, 09-10). He also averaged 12.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in six playoff games and helped lead Austin to the 2008 NBA Development League Finals where they eventually lost to the Idaho Stampede.
The Skyforce's next game is on Saturday, Feb. 27 on the road against the Iowa Energy. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT at Wells Fargo Arena.
