Newark, DE-February 28, 2014- The Delaware 87ers (11-27) took on the Sioux Falls Skyforce (21-15) in the third and final meeting of the season. The Skyforce edged by the Sevens 118-108.
Vander Blue led all scorers with 21 points in the first half and helped the Sevens keep within striking distance, trailing 53-55 going into the third quarter. Blue finished the game with 33 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
Tiny Gallon had a solid night putting up 20 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Aggressive play by Thanasis Antetokounmpo (19 points, 13 rebounds) helped the Sevens take the lead with less than three minutes remaining in the game, still the 87ers were unable to hang on to the victory.
A.J. Davis came off the bench and led the Skyforce with 24 points and eight rebounds. Seven Sioux Falls players scored in double figures.
The 87ers return to action, Sunday, March 2, when they travel to face the Bakersfield Jam. The game tips off at 7:00p.m. E.T.
